narcissus psuedonarcisus ssp. obvallaris
The main daffodil species native to Britain, known as the Tenby Daffodil. This particular species is also suited to growing on rocky ground, grasslands and in woods where shade is common.
Narcissi obvallaris is much sought after for landscaping projects throughout the UK. The miniature daffodil trumpet shaped flowers are available to buy from September but only while stocks are available.
The original native Daffodil of Britain which was referred to by the famous poet William Wordsworth. This must not be confused with the giant headed hybrids we have grown used to.
