Allium cepa Turbo
This increasingly popular variety is a proven performer, producing uniform medium sized onions of oval, round shape. This high yielding variety has a glorious crisp white flesh which is extremely strong on flavour and is perfect for growing in most garden conditions.
Use in casseroles, stews, soups, with meats and for bases as well as for salsa.
Plant late February until April for harvesting August to September.
Prepare the soil bed and press the sets gently into the ground 5-10cm (2-4 inches) apart, leave a distance of 25-30cm (10-12 inches) betwenn rows.
