Allium Cristophii produces large star-shape blooms in a delicate shade of violet pink with an almost silver sheen. The large 8in wide head look magnificent in garden displays and are ideal for dried flowers.
Commonly refered to as the Star of Persia, the bold heads carry a distinct fragrance of garlic and bees and other insects find them difficult to resist.

Interesting Note: Commonly referred to as the Persian Onion, Christophii originates from Turkey and Iran and is grown as an ornamental all over the world. The metallic silvery stars are a highlight in garden displays.
